Dates: March 21-25, 2023
Save the date and circle your calendar to Step Back in Time and visit the oldest city in Louisiana (founded in 1699). Natchitoches has a quaint downtown with a French Quarter look. Plans are to take a walking tour of the historic area, visit the Kaffie-Frederick General Mercantile which has been in business since 1863, travel in time to 1716 while touring the recreated Fort St. Jean Baptiste des Natchitoches, and tour the Cane River National Historic Park which includes Oakland and Magnolia Plantations, two of the most intact Creole cotton plantations in the United States.
Our campground is in a quiet location along the water and has a meeting room with a kitchen. We will open with a Potluck dinner on Tuesday March 21 and conclude Saturday morning March 25th. Each morning there will be a light continental breakfast before beginning our day. There are two catered dinners planned, and one boxed lunch. Of course, one evening we will have an open technical discussion on your Roadtrek.
For those going to the FMCA in Perry, Natchitoches will be an easy drive of about 10.5 hours between Sunday morning and Tuesday afternoon.
